Tubes Must Be Clogged Up North

Just in case you had hoped that with all of the talk of change there would actually be some, the ever-faithful electorate of Alaska are still backing Senator Ted "Series of Tubes" Stevens. But who can blame them if since he tried so hard to get that bridge to nowhere. He just won the primary even though he's been indicted by the FBI on 7 corruption counts. I couldn't go back to work if I was indicted, let alone expect to keep my job.

The Senate health care plan must be really considering how many have been in office PM (pre-Maurice). That's 13 if your counting.

As the flags were waved and cheers erupted almost on cue (actually, it was), it's hard not to be inspired. That is until the the moment Obama stopped speaking; and the pundits filled that vacuum so fast there wasn't even time to collect my own thoughts. But that's what the pundits are for. Better yet, that's what Tivo's for - skip. The overlays on CNN drove me crazy. ESPN on draft day has less crap on the screen.

For the Dems the pageantry is over, Obama has taken the gloves off, now we only have to wait a week to see what McCain has in-store in Minneapolis.
